Minimalist cover design
I wanted to find a way to incorporate the building exterior in my cover design in a way that would be non-objective. In order to do that, I had to find an abstract part of the facade that people would not have immediate associations with the building, making it more interesting and creating “aha” moments.
By looking at the architectural floor plans, I found a very narrow window in the kitchen of type 2 studios. This particular type was only present on some floors and had just one unit per floor and so it was rare enough to make it interesting. I decided to go with one-point perspective to make even more abstract:

Most of the work was done before the renderings came out. The Easy18 identity, heading typeface and the renderings made it appear somewhat luxurious:
